Compass Reporting classes offered

Release Date: Monday, Aug 17, 2020

EIS will be conducting training classes in the fall which will allow users to create reports from some Compass Admissions and Records data using the ARGOS reporting tool.

Refresher Report Training – Two ZOOM sessions are available: September 18, 2020 (8:15am – 11:45am – Session I), or September 18, 2020 (1:15pm – 4:45pm – Session II):  This training is designed to refresh an existing Argos user with the Argos Reporting tool and data.  This class will get you back up to speed on creating datablocks and reports for most of your reporting needs.  Each class size is limited to 8 and has a prerequisite of Beginner Report Training.  If you are interested in attending this training and are an active ARGOS user, please send an email by September 15, 2020 to eis-security@tamu.edu.  If you no longer have an active ARGOS account, your PAA will need to request the appropriate Compass access for you in the Compass Access Request Form which can be found in the PAA Channel in Howdy prior to your enrollment in the class.

Beginner Report Training – Four ZOOM sessions are available: September 24, 2020, September 25, 2020, October 1, 2020 and October 2, 2020 (all sessions from 8:15am – 4:45pm):  This training is designed for the person with little or no technical background in SQL Programming.  We will move at a slower pace and attempt to explain concepts in more detail to help the class better understand the Argos Reporting tool and data.  By the end of the training session, the user will be able to create datablocks and reports that will be the building blocks for most reporting needs. Each class size is limited to 8.  If you are interested in attending or know someone who may benefit from this training, please ask the Primary Authorizing Agent (PAA) for your college or department to request the appropriate Compass access for you in the Compass Access Request Form which can be found in the PAA Channel in Howdy by September 16, 2020 to eis-security@tamu.eduA list of PAAs can be found on the EIS web Site.

No in-person sessions will be held this fall.
