Compass Reporting Classes Offered Spring 2019

Release Date: Thursday, Jan 24, 2019

EIS will be conducting training classes in the spring which will allow users to create reports from some Compass Admissions and Records data using the ARGOS reporting tool.
Refresher Report Training – February 22, 2019 (8:15am – 11:45am – Session I, or 1:15pm – 4:45pm – Session II):  This training is designed to refresh an existing Argos user with the Argos Reporting tool and data.  This class will get you back up to speed on creating datablocks and reports for most of your reporting needs.  Class size is limited to 18 and has a prerequisite of Beginner Report Training.  Existing ARGOS users may request this training directly to eis-security@tamu.eduNo forms or PAA requests are needed unless your ARGOS access has expired.
Beginner Report Training – One session on February 28, 2019, and a separate session on March 8, 2019 (8:15am – 4:45pm):  This training is designed for the person with little or no technical background in SQL Programming.  We will move at a slower pace and attempt to explain concepts in more detail to help the class better understand the Argos Reporting tool and data.  By the end of the training session, the user will be able to create datablocks and reports that will be the building blocks for most reporting needs. Class size is limited to 18.
If you are new to ARGOS reporting and interested in attending, or know someone who may benefit from this training, please ask the Primary Authorizing Agent (PAA) for your college or department to send an email by February 22, 2019 to eis-security@tamu.eduTo find the PAA for your department, please visit the EIS PAA web page.
