Compass Update September 24, 2013 Compass and Howdy will be unavailable on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 7:00am until noon for maintenance. During the maintenance, the Compass idle time out will be changed to 45 minutes, and the Howdy idle time out will be changed to two hours for faculty and staff and 30 minutes for all other Howdy users.
Compass Update September 16, 2013 In order to improve security, Compass users who are not on campus in College Station, Galveston, Qatar or the School of Law will need to use the Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access the system. This change will be effective on Wednesday, September 25. Your IT desktop support staff can assist you with installing the VPN on your off-campus computer. Instructions on downloading and installing the VPN can also be found on the CIS Help Desk Central VPN page.
Compass Update July 26, 2013 The Undergraduate Degree Planner link is now available to all current students in the Undergraduate Degree Planner channel on the My Record tab in Howdy. A message from the Office of the Provost will be sent to all current students in the next week letting them know it is available as an option for them to use in planning their courses. The planner will not be available for new students until the second week of the fall term.

Compass Update April 12, 2013 Hold filters have been added to the key block of the WOAHOLD form. These filters allow the user to quickly and easily view specific groups of holds. The default filter, All Holds, will display all of the holds on the student’s record including future and historical holds.
Online Syllabus and Curriculum Vitae required for most fall undergraduate courses The Texas Legislature passed Texas HB 2504 in 2009. This legislation requires the university to provide online the following information for most undergraduate courses within a week of the first class day of the fall 2010 semester.
