Updates to the Undergraduate Degree Planner Deadlines

An update regarding the Undergraduate Degree Planner deadlines is available at this link.  Some key points in the update are:

  1. An annual degree plan approval process with a consistent deadline of September 30 each fall has been supported by advisor groups and deans instead of approvals at 60 and 90 credit hours, as this requirement is clearer and easier to communicate to students.
  2. The fall deadline will first apply to students based on the term they began (e.g., students beginning summer 2014, fall 2014 and spring 2015 would all have the same deadline of September 30, 2015).
  3. Students whose first term of enrollment was spring 2014 will have a deadline of September 30, 2014.

The reports for the planner will be updated to include the students whose first term of enrollment was in spring 2014.  The SRC_DEG_PLAN_DPAP and PWS_MISS_DPAP_RPT_XX (where XX is the college code) reports are available in Compass Reports/ePrint.

The message below will be sent the week of July 7 to approximately 1,250 students whose first term of enrollment was in spring 2014.  Colleges and departments are encouraged to communicate with these students regarding the submission of their degree plan.

Message to students whose first term was spring 2014:
